The quilt that made this beautiful, flower pot quilt was from the 1940's, and it is called a "Summer spread" because there is no batting. This jacket is less "jacket" and more of a light-weight sweater, or wind-breaker. Do people still call light jackets "wind-breakers"? Nevertheless, it's still very soft, has pockets, and can be worn through the spring and summer.
